The Kettle Valley Steam Railway of Summerland, BC will celebrate the holidays with The Summerland Christmas Express, its annual Christmas Train ride. The 2012 dates and times are:
- Saturday, December 15th at 4 & 6 p.m.
- Sunday, December 16th at 4 & 6 p.m.
- Friday, December 21st at 5 & 7 p.m.
- Saturday, December 22nd at 4 & 6 p.m.
- Sunday, December 23rd at 4 & 6 p.m.

A Uniquely South Okanagan Christmas Train Experience
The spirit of the holiday season is celebrated with this Christmas train experience. Sparkling lights on the 3716 steam locomotive (built in 1912) & coaches, the Prairie Valley Station and homes along the route combine with the banjo music of Felix Possak, an appearance by Santa Claus, and the hospitality of the ride’s hosts to create Christmas magic for couples and families. Children receive a bag full of Christmas goodies to take with them.
The 90-minute Summerland Christmas Express round trip ride departs the Prairie Valley Station and follows the track to eventually cross the historic Trout Creek Trestle Bridge, the third largest of its kind in North America at the time it was built in 1913 and the largest trestle on the Kettle Valley Railway.

- Teens: $17.00
- Children (ages 3-12): $13.00
