Rockin' River Musicfest 2012The 2012 Rockin’ River Musicfest (aka Riverfest) brings three days of world class country, rock and roots music to Mission Raceway Park in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia from August 9-11.  To make the most of your trip to and through the area, you’ll want to book Fraser Valley lodging as memorable as the performances at the festival.

Aaron Pritchett

Aaron PritchettA native of northern British Columbia, Aaron Pritchett has earned his place as one of Canada’s top country artists.  He is a CCMA Independent Male Artist of the Year winner and in 2007, won the CCMA Songwriter of the Year for his anthemic “Hold My Beer”.  His 5th album will be released this fall.

Karen Lee Batten

Karen Lee BattenIndependent country music artist Karen Lee Batten is a three-time BCCMA Female Vocalist of the Year winner and was a Top Ten Finalist on Canadian Idol in 2003. Her independently released album, “Every Moment”, yielded radio hits “Like I Would For You”, “One Day”, “A Bitter End” and “Hearts on the Run” (also a successful music video).

FRIDAY, AUGUST 10

Dwight Yoakam

Dwight YoakamCountry music icon, acclaimed actor, respected entrepreneur, and named a Renaissance Man by Time Magazine, Dwight Yoakam brings enormous talent and charisma to his musical performances. Born in Kentucky and raised in Ohio, Mr. Yoakam has earned great success without sacrificing his musical integrity.

Randy Bachman

Randy BachmanA native of Canada, Randy Bachman first came to fame with the Guess Who, whose library of hits include “Shakin All Over”, “These Eyes”, and “American Woman”.  Bachman’s songs have sold over 40 million copies, hit #1 in over 20 countries, and represent a major force in the nearly 40 years of popular music.

Kenny Hess

Kenny HessKenny Hess has been playing before audiences since the age of four. At 14 he formed his own band and it quickly became a popular opening act for the top country acts of the day. After years of touring and songwriting for Harland Howard, Curb Songs signed him to a recording contract.

Victoria BanksCCMA 2010 Female Artist of the Year and Songwriter, Victoria Banks was also nominated for CCMA Female Artist, Rising Star, Songwriter, Album, Single and Producer of the Year following the release of her debut CD, When You Can Fly.

Blue Rodeo

Blue RodeoSince the early 80’s, Blue Rodeo have been a major player in the Canadian popular music scene while retaining their “countrified rock” roots. Millions of copies of their 12 albums, 2 live albums and an award-winning DVD have been sold and they are 2012 inductees into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

George CanyonGeorge Canyon is a Nova Scotia native living in Alberta.  He made a splash in 2004 representing Canada on USA Network’s “Nashville Star”. Since then he has earned two Junos and many CCMA awards as a result of the outstanding talent and work he put into his five albums.

One More GirlBritt and Carly McKillip make up the country duo One More Girl, winner of the 2010 Canadian Radio Music Award for Best New Country Artist, 2010 BCCMA awards for Single of the Year, Group or Duo, Album of the Year & Entertainer of the Year, and 2010 CCMA Rising Star award.

Ridley BentBC native Ridley Bent is a 2009 CCMA nominee and 7-time BCCMA winner, whose singing and songwriting on four albums has established a unique voice in Canadian country music with songs featuring quirky and memorable characters.
